Ilfrey's First Taste of Victory(A cyber re-enactment for the Airwarriors III Game.)
This is a screen capture from the game Air Warrior III. It is a recreation of the mission where Ilfrey shared credit for the downing of a Messerschmitt ME-110. It is presented here courtesy of Bob Bosen.
Ilfrey's P-38 is in the distance (centered just below the horizon), and the two Me-110s in the foreground. The second P-38 is just a tiny dot way behind and above all.
(While this reenactment may not be completely accurate I have included it as an example of how Ilfrey's accomplishments still inspire even those whose only missions are flown with a joystick, keyboard and monitor.)
